Homecraft Mfg Corp, trading as Homecraft Saunas (“Homecraft”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operates homecraftsaunas.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We are based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, and we sell to customers and dealers across Canada and the United States.

What we collect
When you contact us or request a quote or an order. Your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to write in the message. If you ask us to ship something, the shipping address as well.
When you apply for or hold a dealer account. The business and contact details you give us in the application, and a record of the quotes and orders you place through the dealer portal.
Automatically, when you visit the site. Your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and time, how long you stay, and the site or advertisement you arrived from. This is ordinary web-server and analytics information.
We do not ask for and do not want your payment card details through this website, your government identification, your health information, or information about children. The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, take and fulfil an order, provide warranty and technical support, operate a dealer account, keep our records as required by Canadian tax and business law, and measure whether our advertising is reaching people it is useful to.
Who we share it with, and who we do not
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it. We do not share it for any other company’s advertising.
We do share it, for specific purposes, with these categories of recipients:
Advertising measurement. When you submit a form on this site, we create a one-way code – a hash – of your email address and phone number, and send that code to Google. Google compares it against its own records to tell us whether one of our advertisements led to a genuine enquiry. We do this so we can put our advertising budget where it actually works rather than guessing.:
- The code cannot be turned back into your email address or phone number. It is a one-way calculation, not encryption.
- It can still be matched to you by Google, because that is what it is for. So we treat it as your personal information, and this section exists because you are entitled to know it happens.
- We do not send your name, your address, or anything you wrote in your message to any advertising platform.
We also record which advertisement or search result brought you here, using identifiers those platforms add to the link you click, and we keep that alongside your enquiry so the two can be connected.
Google’s own handling of this data is governed by Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and described further at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can review and change the advertising settings on your own Google account at https://myadcenter.google.com/.
Website and analytics providers. Our website host, our email provider, and our website analytics provider process information on our behalf, under contract, and only for us.
Shipping and logistics. Carriers receive the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your order.
Professional advisers and authorities. Our accountants and lawyers where necessary, and any party we are legally required to disclose to under a valid legal demand.
Your choices and your rights
You can opt out of advertising measurement. Email info@homecraftsaunas.com and ask us not to include your information, and we will remove it. This has no effect on your enquiry, your quote, your order, your warranty, or any support we give you.
You can ask what we hold. You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. We respond within 30 days.
If you are in the United States, and depending on your state, you may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for targeted advertising, to know what we collect, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of those rights. We honour these requests from anyone who asks, regardless of state and regardless of whether the law requires it of us. Use the same email address above.
Marketing email. We only send commercial email to people who have asked for it or who have an existing business relationship with Homecraft Saunas, as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation requires. Every message identifies us and carries an unsubscribe link, and we act on an unsubscribe within 10 business days.
Cookies. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do. You can also install Google’s own analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The Homecraft Saunas wifi app
To delete your user data, open the Homecraft Saunas Wifi App and, on the main side panel, select the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the screen. Then choose Settings, and within the settings menu choose Delete User Account & Data to permanently remove your account and all associated information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and quotes: 5 years from your last contact with us. Orders, invoices and warranty records: as long as Canadian tax and business law requires, currently six years, and long enough to honour a warranty. Dealer account records: for as long as the account is open, and for 7 years afterwards. Hashed advertising identifiers: 2 years, or until you ask us to remove them.
Where your information is held
Homecraft is in Canada, and our records are held in Canada. Some of the service providers we use, including Google, store and process information in the United States and elsewhere. Information held in another country can be accessed by the courts and law enforcement of that country under its own laws.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs. The site uses encryption in transit. Identifiers sent for advertising measurement are hashed before they leave our systems, so the plain email address and phone number are never transmitted to an advertising platform.
The law this policy is written to meet
Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), together with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation for commercial email. Where a United States state privacy law gives a visitor rights we have not listed, we will honour those too.
This site is not directed at visitors in the European Union or the United Kingdom, and we do not currently offer a GDPR consent banner. If that changes, this policy changes with it.
Changes to this policy
We will post any change on this page and update the date at the top. A change that materially affects how we use information already collected will be brought to your attention before it takes effect.

Contact us first, at the address above. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia at https://www.oipc.bc.ca.
